In an effort to recognize practice improvement and quality
healthcare delivery, National Headache Foundation has developed
the Headache Education Advocate Designation (HEAD). This
designation will distinguish healthcare providers who have worked
to enhance their clinical knowledge of headache and skill in
counseling headache sufferers.
Healthcare professionals who are awarded this designation will
receive a certificate of recognition, that demonstrates to colleagues
and patients the recipient’s dedication to improving the lives of
headache sufferers and helping reduce the burdens that headache
places upon our society.
To receive this designation, healthcare professionals who have
completed continuing education sponsored by National Headache
Foundation must complete the online application. In addition to basic contact
information, healthcare professionals applying for the designation
will be required to cite three (3) specific examples of how this
educational activity sponsored by National Headache Foundation and
their joint sponsors has had an impact on their patient counseling
and care. Examples should not include patient names or specific
information that could be used to identify the patient but, rather,
capture the essence of the benefits to counseling and patient
outcomes that have been reflected in practice through application of
the continuing education.
A certificate will be mailed to all healthcare professionals who
successfully complete the HEAD application in full.
